CEOVIC Schools Notice

Hi to all our CEOVIC sites,

The CEO Census Data export for 2010 requires support for additional fields and logic within Synergetic.  Most of the changes were included in v61, however there were some additional changes (detailed below) which have required us to create and release a standalone program to support recording of these values.

The new standalone program is for Student Maintenance, and allows you to update the Transport record for 'Accompanied By Adult'.  If you submit this information without updating this field the default will be 'Unknown' which is still a valid entry.

Explanation of changes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

* Accompanied to school
- This value must be present if there is a Travel Mode to school selected within the Students Maintenance->Transport Tab for 'Accompanied By Adult'.

The options and meanings are as follows:
Yes - 'A' (Adult Accompaniment)
No - 'I' (Independent)
Blank - (Unknown)

The fields Accompaniment To and From schools will be populated based on whether there are AM or PM entries recorded for the day.
If there are multiple records, i.e. for example PM where a student returning home from school via multiple routes for the day, the export will use the first record entered for PM as that value.

* Date for last updated for Travel Mode from school
- This will use the modified date if the record entry has been updated or modified in anyway.

File name is StuMman.zip contains the following:
Script.Bat
Syn.sql
StuMma.exe

The zip file will need to be decompressed using a utility such as Winzip or similar, extract the contents to your Synergetic folder on the server.
You will need to have Administrator rights to be able to run the Script.bat file to apply the necessary changes.

The StuMma.exe is the standalone executable which can be set as a desktop shortcut from the server to your PC to maintain the new information.

Once your changes have been updated you use the CEO export routine as you normally would
- Students>Student Data Import Export > CEO Tab.
